Jiwoo Choi

Jiwoo Choi is Chief of Strategic Initiatives at Acumen Fund, where she leads the Hardest-to-Reach (H2R) energy initiative, aiming to provide energy access to 215 million people in Africa’s hardest-to-reach markets by 2030.

With significant experience in climate and conventional finance, Jiwoo has held key roles at Dubai Green Fund, Hanwha Life, and Standard & Poor’s. She previously served as Chief Risk and Sustainability Officer for Shinhan Bank in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region and Director ad interim of the Green Climate Fund’s private-sector facility.

She holds an MBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University.
